High Peak Musical Theatre Summer School
7 – 10 JULY 2005
The High Peak Summer School is a unique opportunity to
learn about Singing Performance in Musical Theatre and enjoy
the countryside and traditions of Derbyshire.
The Summer School will be held at the beautiful
New Mills Art Theatre and will culminate in the Group
performing at the annual Buxton Wells Dressing Queen crowning ceremony.
You will receive expert coaching from professional teachers and performers. This year we are delighted to welcome Jeffrey Davies to the Summer School. Jeffrey is a Director and Council member of the British Voice Association and is renowned for his research in the use of Computer Technology in the training of singers. He works extensively at the Royal Academy of Music and is Director of Opera de Camera and the East Anglian Summer School. There will also be an opportunity to hear from someone working the heat of Musical Theatre in the West End who will be
talking to us about ‘Life Upon the Wicked Stage’!
Individual coaching will be available and other activities will include
Pilates, Wells Dressing demonstration and walking in the beautiful High Peak

SingersCraft Director, Sheena McInnes has 20 years teaching and coaching experience and has developed a unique style of coaching in order to promote the enjoyment of singing and performance in Musical Theatre. As a vocal coach she encourages singers to the use the tools they have to bridge the gap between singing and acting giving them the Complete Performance.
